This paper aims to contribute to the understanding of the links among conceptual, empirical and policy issues relating to agricultural growth, rural development and overall economic growth in the Philippines. Specifically, it aims to provide a broad analytical guidance and policy perspectives for deeper investigative studies on specific aspects of these issues and their interactions. In view of the significance of relevant developments in the Philippine economy since 1965, the post 1965 is used for empirical illustration.
