Abstract

Working paper on employment effects of multinational enterprise in Belgium - notes the importance of government policy in relation to direct foreign investment, examines employment creation, labour mobility and unemployment trends according to nationality, industrial sector, size of enterprise and period of establishment of multinational enterprises for 1968 to 1978, and discusses impact of plant shutdown and role of Belgium in investment abroad. References and statistical tables.
