Abstract

Since the mid-80's, there has been in France a wide development of interest on the theme of economic conventions. One can be tempted to link this researches with the american institutionnalist ones, which were developped between the two world wars. To enlight the question of the filiation between Institutionnalism and Conventionnalism, the author uses various methodological tools, contributing to define a "Methodological Position" for each theory. A more specific study is also proposed, consisting in a comparative approach of two fundamental concepts for both Institutionnalism and Conventionnalism : collective action and institutionnal dynamics.
