Abstract

The notion of globalisation expresses the rise of the commercial world and sometimes refers to the concepts of domination and concentration of power. However, the arms industry has always been protected by nations. "The "commodification" of arms effectively favours the concentration and restructuring of the arms industries, as well as the international arms trade. While states have historically waged military wars for the purpose of predation, today power is also about economic competition, with the potential use of economic weapons in the quest for global leadership. With the collapse of the USSR, the arms industry experienced an economic crisis, which led them to develop dual products, particularly in the digital economy. The military-industrial complexes have lost their power to shape the technologies of today and tomorrow. The economic factors themselves have become weapons, but they are not within the framework of the arms industry. Moreover, technological dominance is an essential instrument of leadership, and the United States has taken a lead that is not yet 'settled' in the history to come.
