Abstract

The field of sports economics is still rather poorly mastered, especially since this activity is in constant evolution. Macroeconomic analysis is still in its infancy, while mesoeconomic analysis highlights the diversity of sport services. Sport concerns households, the State, enterprises, NGO ; it is sometimes a national and international public good. It is a commercial and non-commercial entertainment activity, with a strong impact from the professional world. Sport is also a production activity that partially structures territories. It is a sector in which there are still monopolies for the organisation of competitions and in which the uncertainty of results is a factor of profitability. Sport is a high-tech activity, supported by the media as the dominant communication vector.
