Abstract

*** Before the pandemic, youth people were the most affected in the labor market, showing problems of social and economic integration. They have been the most likely to be unemployed due to their limited work experience and structural barriers, such as deficiencies in the educational system, precarious insertion into the labor market, and lack of legal and social protection. The crisis provoked by COVID-19 exacerbated the country's structural problems, with youth suffering the greatest social and economic consequences. Therefore, the labor market had a significant impact on the wellness of the youth, characterized by a high unemployment rate, reduction in working hours, reduction in income and, hence, reduction in productive potential and deviation of development paths of an entire generation.
