A economia evolucionista: um capítulo sistêmico da teoria econômica

In: Economia da ciência, tecnologia e inovação: Fundamentos teóricos e a economia global

Author

Abstract

Several authors have detected a paradigm shift in contemporary science: from a reductionist or mechanicist approach to a holistic or systemic one. This transition in paradigms should be perceptible in several disciplines, starting in biology and extending itself to others areas. In light of the origins and main characteristics of the evolutionary economics, this article discusses whether it is possible to recognize the emergence of a new paradigm in economics. The evidences provided, it is argued, allow us to state the existence of a systemic approach in economic thought.
