Makroökonomische Wirkungen energiesparender Sanierungsinvestitionen im Wohnbau

Abstract

Vor dem Hintergrund der Formulierung einer neuen Klimastrategie für Österreich rückt die thermische Wohnhaussanierung in das zentrale Interesse der Wohnungspolitik. Rund 40% des Gesamtenergieverbrauchs entfallen auf den Wärmeverbrauch in Gebäuden. Das größte Einsparungspotential liegt im "mittleren" Gebäudebestand, der in den Jahren 1945 bis 1980 errichtet wurde – das sind 1,48 Mio. Wohnungen, davon 743.000 in Ein- und Zweifamilienhäusern. Durch Maßnahmen zur thermischen Sanierung kann der spezifische Energieverbrauch je Quadratmeter in diesem Gebäudebestand um etwa die Hälfte reduziert werden.
