Digitalisierung in Österreich: Fortschritt und Bedeutung der Plattformarbeit

Abstract

Wie das vorliegende Monitoring ausgewählter Indikatoren zum digitalen Wandel in verschiedenen Teilbereichen von Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft zeigt, liegt Österreich in Bezug auf die digitale Transformation nach wie vor im Mittelfeld der EU 27. Der im EU-Vergleich deutliche Rückstand bei der Nutzung von ultraschnellem Breitbandinternet durch private Haushalte bzw. hinsichtlich der grundlegenden digitalen Fähigkeiten der Bevölkerung spiegelt sich auch in der geringen Verbreitung von Plattformarbeit. Diese ist am ehesten im Dienstleistungsbereich, insbesondere in der Beherbergung und Gastronomie, zu finden und trägt zur Kosten- und Zeitersparnis bei.
