Die neue österreichische Quartalsrechnung

Abstract

Ab August 1998 stellt das WIFO Zeitreihen zur österreichischen quartalsweisen Volkswirtschaftlichen Gesamtrechnung zur Verfügung, welche auf der Systematik ESVG 79 beruhen. Mit einem ökonometrischen Modell wurden die Daten der Verwendungsseite des BIP zurück bis 1976 revidiert. Die vorläufige Berechnung der Quartalsergebnisse 1998 beruht einerseits auf dem Modell, andererseits auf aktuellen Informationen über die Entstehungsseite, wie z. B. Produktion und Beschäftigung. Künftig sollen die Quartalsergebnisse jeweils mit einer Verzögerung von drei Monaten nach Ablauf eines Vierteljahres publiziert werden. Nach vorläufiger Rechnung betrug die Steigerung des BIP im I. Quartal 1998 4,2%.
