An Overview of the European Union Legislation Regarding the Natural Gas Market

Abstract

This article aims to review the present EU regulation regarding natural gas markets and to see steps which have been made towards regulation of a UE common market of natural gas. Consequences of liberalization of price will be reviewed and lack of supply caused by Ukrainian – Russian War. The paper is also analyzing the different stages of the liberalization processes of the Gas Market and the benefits brought to the final consumers and to the industry.
