Régulation et institutions en économie du sport

Abstract

On compare les choix institutionnels des sports professionnels en Amérique du Nord (ligue fermée) et en Europe (ligue ouverte). Une importante régulation (‘quasi-socialiste’) des ligues américaines contraste avec la dérégulation croissante des sports professionnels européens. L’explosion des droits de télévision y entraîne une concentration financière sur quelques clubs riches, ce qui nuit à l’équilibre sportif des championnats nationaux et appelle davantage de régulation.
