Extracurricular Activities’ Role In The Professional Development Of A Graduate

Abstract

Due to globalization, the communication, culture-differences and teamwork became some of the most debated problems. In this context, many new opportunities can be used to solve them. Therefore, the offer of the workforce market is growing continuously, the candidates having to identify new methods for differentiating themselves from the competition. The extracurricular activities have the potential to be an efficient opportunity to gain abilities that may be useful for the professional life. The way the youngsters can improve their communication, timemanagement skills and their technical knowledge, by participating in different types of projects, mobilities and internships is not an unknown topic. The extent in which graduates consider that the extracurricular activities can contribute to their professional development was analyzed in this paper. Also, the article presents the opinion of several Human Resources specialists regarding the subject in question
