Abstract

Little over a year since the death of Secondo (‘Dino’) Tarditi, the Economics Faculty of the University of Siena organized an international conference,“La liberalizzazione del commercio internazionale e le politiche dell’Unione Europea per l'agricoltura e i consumatori” (Liberalizing International Trade and European Union Policies for Agriculture and Consumers) to commemorate Secondo Tarditi and his work. This article sums up the topics addressed in the principal contributions, which have analysed the process of European Integration, policies for consumers, Common Agricultural Policy reform and the liberalization of international trade.
