Abstract

Este estudio tiene como objetivo identificar las características sociodemográficas del propietario de una empresa o negocio que influyen en la consecución del éxito empresarial en Perú. Tomando la información de la Encuesta Nacional de Hogares sobre Condiciones de Vida y Pobreza del año 2018, se efectuaron estimaciones econométricas con el método de los Mínimos Cuadrados Ordinarios. Concebido el éxito empresarial como la magnitud de la ganancia obtenida, los resultados econométricos indican que su consecución está condicionada por el género, la edad, los años de educación alcanzada, el estado de salud, el estado civil, el número de hijos, la pertenencia a una red social, la autopercepción étnica, la persistencia empresarial y la intensidad en el uso del internet. Asimismo, el logro del éxito empresarial también está influenciado por factores considerados como variables de control en este estudio, como son el tamaño de la empresa, el uso de sistemas contables y la localización regional y zonal.
