Abstract

The present study builds on previous intent studies, and tries to find out the entrepreneurial intent of management students in India. Entrepreneur education is offered with management education by Business Schools in a large scale these days. But the number of management students, who take up entrepreneurship, are few. Moreover no study has been conducted in the Indian MBA students to find out their intention towards entrepreneurship. The paper aims to test a model that incorporates Perceived behaviour control, Subjective norms depending on social norms, and attitude towards entrepreneurial intent. It was also attempted to understand gender differences in entrepreneurship intent and the impact of educational qualification prior to MBA on entrepreneurship intent.
