Abstract

Vor etwa 200 Jahren veraenderte sich das oekonomische Denken grundlegend. Es entstand eine Moral des Marktes. Sie konkurriert gleichwohl bis heute mit der aelteren, auf Aristoteles zurueckgehenden, familienmoralischen OEkonomie. Am Beispiel der Kuendigung der Kathryn McNeil wird dieser moralische Konflikt verdeutlicht. Historisch betrachtet, koennte es so sein, dass wir in einer UEbergangsphase leben, in der es der OEkonomie gelingt, die aeltere Familienmoral in die neuere Marktmoral zu integrieren.
