Escuelas de negocios latinoamericanas. Un análisis empírico

Abstract

Este trabajo utiliza datos de 2009 a 2011 sobre una muestra de escuelas de negocios de América Latina con el objetivo de identificar los determinantes organizacionales del éxito de los graduados de tales escuelas. Para ello la metodología empleada es un análisis de regresión múltiple de datos de panel con efectos aleatorios. Los resultados indican que el nivel de producción académica de las escuelas, el cual se obtuvo del número de artículos en publicaciones indexadas en el Social Science Citation Index, está asociado en forma positiva y estadísticamente significativa con el éxito de sus egresados. Además, la calidad de la planta docente también tiene un efecto positivo y significativo sobre dicha variable, aunque este último hallazgo no es robusto de acuerdo con las distintas especificaciones de los modelos de regresión.
