Polányi hatása a marketingelméleti iskolákra
[The great transformation and its consequences: attracting markets and marketing]

Abstract

Polányi Károly újságíró, gazdaságtörténész, gazdaságantropológus 1944-ben írta meg fő művét, A nagy átalakulást, amely korunk sok problémájára is választ kínál. Alaposan elemezte a 19. században létrejött liberális önszabályozó piac működését, amelyben a föld, a munkaerő és a pénz is áruvá vált, amelyek természetüknél fogva nem erre rendeltettek. A tanulmány Polányi gazdaságantropológiai kutatásai alapján mutatja be a koordinációs mechanizmusok - a redisztribúció, a reciprocitás és a piaci csere - fő jellemzőit. A kereskedelem négy területét - a személyzet, a javak, a szállítás és a kétoldalú jelleg - Polányi a mai közgazdasági és üzleti tudomány szempontjából is releváns módon, a primitív, az archaikus és a modern társadalmak elemzésével tárta fel. A marketing fejlődése, amely egyre inkább magában foglalja a kereskedelmet is, történelmileg egybeesett a liberális piacgazdaság kialakulásával. Polányi nézeteinek összehasonlítása a marketingelméleti iskolákkal - kiemelten a funkcionális és az árupiaci iskolával - igazolta, hogy helytelen a semleges marketinget a liberális kapitalizmus szolgálólányaként interpretálni. Polányi vezérelve, a társadalom és az emberek érdekeinek a középpontba állítása összhangban van a marketing évszázados filozófiájával.* Journal of Economic Literature (JEL) kód: M3, N7, P1.
