Il costo della perdita di produttivit? del personale ospedaliero: una valutazione economica applicata ad un intervento di prevenzione

Abstract

Nell?articolo, il metodo della valutazione economica viene applicato a un intervento di prevenzione rivolto a personale ospedaliero sano, concernente l?uso di una calza compressiva per evitare l?insorgere dell?insufficienza venosa cronica. La valutazione stima la variazione della perdita di produttività del personale legata alla condizione di inabilità nello svolgimento di attività lavorativa (presenteeism) e alla percezione di efficacia a seguito della prevenzione.I risultati dello studio randomizzato controllato indicano che, sul lungo periodo, il gruppo di intervento rileva una minore inabilità dovuta alla postura eretta prolungata; di conseguenza, grazie all?utilizzo della calza, la perdita di produttività legata al presenteeism si riduce significativamenterispetto al gruppo di controllo.La prevenzione riduce dunque i costi legati al presenteeism nella prospettiva sociale e del Servizio Sanitario Nazionale.
