Abstract

The average surface albedo was calculated for Bahrain by using three methods. One of these is derived from actual global radiation results and the others are derived from two theoretical models for estimating the global radiation. The average of the surface albedo was found to be 0.244 ± 0.16 with the former method and 0.103 ± 0.047 to 0.1325 ± 0.054 for the latter theoretical models. The relation between the surface albedo and some meteorological parameters is discussed and studied.
