Systems barriers to community re-entry for incarcerated youths: A review

Abstract

•17 articles were reviewed that included organizational barriers.•Intra and inter-organizational barriers were identified.•Intra-organizational barriers were found in most organizations.•Poor collaboration, lack of supports and vertical service provision gaps were found.•Recommendations for policy and practice change are offered.
