La felicidad en el trabajo: entre el placer y el sentido

Abstract

El objetivo de este artículo de investigación documental es presentar los elementos básicos de la propuesta de Martin Seligman en su libro La auténtica felicidad, y su contribución al campo de la psicología del trabajo y de las organizaciones, particularmente en lo relacionado con el bienestar, la satisfacción y la salud mental laboral. La metodología empleada fue el análisis documental. Los resultados muestran que el concepto de felicidad tradicionalmente se asocia con una experiencia placentera; sin embargo, la auténtica felicidad en el mundo del trabajo es una combinación de placer, compromiso y sentido de la actividad realizada. Las conclusiones evidencian que el fundamento de la felicidad en el trabajo es una elección subjetiva que va más allá del principio del placer.
