Nach dem Stimmungshoch in der deutschen Leasingwirtschaft zur Jahresmitte 2007 ist es im August zu einer deutlichen Korrektur gekommen. Das ifo Geschäftsklima für die deutsche Leasingbranche fiel auf den Stand vom Jahresende 2006 zurück. Dennoch liegen beide Komponenten über dem langjährigen Durchschnitt, die robuste konjunkturelle Entwicklung in der Leasingbranche dürfte sich damit auch über den Jahreswechsel 2007/2008 fortsetzen. Im Jahresdurchschnitt dürfte der Investitionenzuwachs nominal bei über 7,5% liegen.
