Strong improvement of the business climate in leasing - upswing in equipment spending continues

Abstract

The business climate in the German leasing sector clearly brightened in the fourth quarter of 2006. The surveyed firms assessed their current business situation as markedly better. However, the business expectations reveal no enhanced confidence. The investment indicator does not yet signal a growth slow-down in equipment spending for the first months of 2007.
