Abstract

The paper aims to approach the concept of the economic order as a mandatory framework inside which any economic activity can occur. To this end, after setting the definition of the economic order, a set of criteria to identify it are proposed and, based on them, a typology of the economic order is inferred. Both criteria and the typology are from the most general and abstract level, so any economic (empirical) order in the mankind history can be found. Finally, the paper proposes a protocol to reveal (that is, to observe, record, and recognize) the economic order by a generic individual.
