De la microfinance informelle au linkage banking: interactions entre théorie et practique

Abstract

La recherche académique génère des publications spécialisées que les opérateurs de terrain ne lisent pas. Eux-mêmes font face à des défis que les universitaires n'étudient pas. Chercheurs et praticiens parlent des langages différents et vivent dans des mondes distincts. Cet article se veut un récit personnel, décrivant comment j'ai successivement vécu dans ces deux mondes, dont chacun est un microcosme particulier, et tenté de jeter des ponts entre théorie et pratique. Dans mon cas, le secteur choisi a été celui de la microfinance. Mon voyage personnel m'a obligé à adopter de nouveaux paradigmes et à utiliser des terminologies différentes. Il m'a fait découvrir une histoire, des régions et, en ce sens, illustre parfaitement la complexité des interventions et du timing, ainsi que l'importance des interactions entre théorie et pratique.
