El cooperativismo en tiempos de crisis

Abstract

En las ltimas d cadas nuestra sociedad ha sido guiada por la convicci n de que s lo la gran empresa de capital mereciera consideraci n y la empresa tradicional (con fines de lucro) se ha impuesto como el modelo de empresa predominante en el paradigma econ mico mundial. Desde este enfoque, las otras formas de empresa, incluidas las cooperativas, han sido condenadas a jugar un papel marginal y destinado a desaparecer. La realidad de hoy, por el contrario, est demostrando que la existencia de una pluralidad de formas de empresa es la mejor manera de afrontar la profunda crisis de la econom a global, y las cooperativas son una parte esencial de este pluralismo. Por esto se abre hoy una nueva oportunidad frente a los movimientos cooperativos. Para aprovecharla es necesario cumplir un esfuerzo de reflexi n, para entender lo que se requiere y c mo el cooperativismo puede cumplir plenamente su potencial. El movimiento cooperativo al nivel internacional cuenta con las energ as y los recursos necesarios para tomar estos nuevos caminos, siguiendo los c digos de la discusi n cr tica y el pluralismo, en lugar de los c digos de la ideolog a y la imposici n de identidades monol ticas. El papel de la investigaci n y la formaci n en este contexto es crucial. Cualquier inversi n para mejorar el perfil de nuestro conocimiento es una inversi n hacia un futuro menos vulnerable.
