L'ancoraggio etico della Responsabilita' Sociale d'impresa e la critica alla RSI

Abstract

In questo lemma vengono affrontate e discusse due questioni specifiche: quanto robuste sono le critiche che vengono avanzate alla responsabilita' sociale dell'impresa (RSI), l'una; e quale ancoraggio etico e' in grado di offrire il sostegno piu' solido alla RSI, l'altra. Non ci si occupera', invece ne' della storia della RSI, una storia tutto sommato recente che si e' soliti far iniziare dal pionieristico contributo di Bowen del 1953 che contiene una prima definizione di RSI (Chirielieson, 2004); ne' delle ragioni per le quali e solo con l'affermarsi della globalizzazione, a partire dagli ultimi settanta del secolo scorso, che e' scoppiata la problematica della RSI (Zamagni, 2003). Ne' ci occuperemo, infine, dei contenuti della responsabilita' sociale, di che cosa si debba intendere con RSI e dei modi per implementarla nella prassi d'impresa. (Sacconi, 2004) Giova osservare che nonostante la fluorescenza di studi e dibattiti nel corso dell'ultimo quarto di secolo, non esiste a tutt'oggi una definizione largamente condivisa di RSI. Siamo ancora allo stadio della privatizzazione dalle definizioni, il che e' all'origine di non pochi problemi interpretativi e di incomprensioni gravi che sfociano talvolta in polemiche astiose e inutili. Il fatto e' che una definizione ha senso solamente se diventa patrimonio comune di una comunita' scientifica, dal momento che la natura di una definizione e' quella di bene pubblico in un determinato campo di conoscenza. L'idea di definizione privata e' un ossimoro.
