El acceso a la educación universitaria en Argentina. ¿Existen oportunidades para todos los hogares?

Abstract

El presente volumen presenta una actualización de la Tesis elaborada por la autora para acceder al grado de Licenciada en Economía que otorga la Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata, Argentina. Garantizar la igualdad de oportunidades de acceso a la educación universitaria constituye un objetivo social ampliamente aceptado. Sin embargo, en la República Argentina -como así en otros tantos países del mundo- la evidencia no resulta concluyente a la hora de verificar empíricamente dicha igualdad. "El acceso a la educación universitaria en Argentina" analiza, desde una perspectiva netamente económica, las oportunidades que presenta la población para acceder a la educación universitaria ofrecida en el país. A tal fin, se calculan las probabilidades de acceso para diferentes perfiles de hogar, para lo cual se propone y estima un modelo econométrico.
