Dynamics of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Participation in the Mid-2000s

Abstract

This report investigates SNAP caseload dynamics from 2004 to 2006. It describes individuals' patterns of participation and explores reasons for entering and leaving SNAP, how long participants receive SNAP benefits, and whether they return to the program after exiting.
