De la diversité de genre à la diversité culturelle

Abstract

La diversité conduit à de nouvelles pratiques managériales, qui peuvent s’inscrire dans un nouveau paradigme culturel. Ensuite, dans le but de déterminer les pratiques efficaces, les outils du management de la diversité sont analysés à travers ce qui lie les différentes branches de la diversité, à savoir les différences individuelles-culturelles. Le propos est illustré par l’exemple concret de la gestion de la diversité de genre qui constitue un de nos champs de recherche principaux et notamment dans des collectifs de travail ou elle n’existait pas ou partiellement. Cette évolution de la force de travail ne peut-elle pas s’assimiler en définitive à un véritable choc culturel ? L’irruption de la mixité pose la question de la dimension culturelle et de son importance, nécessitant de la part des individus un véritable processus « d’acculturation ». Les concepts de l’analyse multiculturelle peuvent alors se révéler particulièrement pertinents pour comprendre et mieux accompagner cette évolution dans une perspective de performance accrue pour l’organisation.
