Abstract

Working paper comprising an evaluation of migration policies in the Philippines, with particular reference to contract labour - discusses the historical background, migrant worker emigration trends, geographic distribution and recruitment policies, vocational training, labour contract stipulations, return migration, savings remittances, etc., includes guidelines, and comments on labour legislation. References and statistical tables.
