Abstract

"Compared to previous years both the number of successful recruitments and the number of cancellations increased strongly in Germany. The latest development shows that in some of the illustrated aspects of the recruitment process differences between East and West Germany exist. These differences appear for example in the proportion of hard-to-fill vacancies distinguished between the different economic branches as well as in the prior employment status of newly hired employees. Parallel developments between East and West Germany can be observed in terms of the planned and the actual recruitment duration." (Author's abstract, IAB-Doku) ((en))
