Aktualisierte Projektion für 2009: Internationale Finanzkrise bringt schwerere Zeiten für den Arbeitsmarkt

Abstract

"Mit der Zuspitzung der internationalen Finanzkrise stehen auf dem Arbeitsmarkt schwerere Zeiten bevor. Für das Jahr 2009 wird mit einer deutlichen Abschwächung der Konjunktur gerechnet. Während sich im Jahresdurchschnitt 2008 die Zahlen für die Erwerbstätigkeit und die Arbeitslosigkeit zum dritten Mal in Folge verbessern (die Erwerbstätigkeit steigt um 520.000 auf 40,29 Millionen Personen, die Zahl der Arbeitslosen sinkt um 520.000 auf 3,26 Millionen), werden sie im Jahresdurchschnitt 2009 bei einem allenfalls schwachen Wirtschaftswachstum in etwa stagnieren. Eine dramatische Verschlechterung der Situation ist aber erst einmal nicht zu erwarten. Bei einem Null-Wachstum der deutschen Wirtschaft sinkt die Erwerbstätigkeit um 40.000 auf 40,25 Millionen, die Zahl der Arbeitslosen wird um 30.000 auf 3,29 Millionen steigen. Im Verlauf des Jahres ist allerdings mit einem deutlichen Anstieg der Arbeitslosigkeit zu rechnen." (Autorenreferat, IAB-Doku)
