Projektion 2009: Der Arbeitsmarkt tritt auf der Stelle

Abstract

"Zum dritten Mal in Folge wird die deutsche Wirtschaft im Jahr 2008 um mehr als zwei Prozent wachsen. Die Konjunktur und die Reformen der Agenda 2010 haben den Arbeitsmarkt belebt: 2008 steigt die Erwerbstätigkeit um 520.000 auf 40,29 Mio. Personen, den höchsten Wert in der Geschichte der Bundesrepublik. Die Zahl der Arbeitslosen sinkt um 520.000 auf 3,26 Mio. Für 2009 wird mit einem Wirtschaftswachstum von nur einem Prozent gerechnet. Die Verbesserung am Arbeitsmarkt wird dann ins Stocken geraten: Die Erwerbstätigkeit steigt um rd. 100.000 auf 40,39 Mio. Personen, die Zahl der registrierten Arbeitslosen wird im Jahresdurchschnitt 2009 um 100.000 auf 3,16 Mio. Personen sinken. Begünstigt wird die Arbeitsmarktentwicklung durch das demografisch bedingte Schrumpfen des Arbeitsangebots - 2009 erstmals auch in Westdeutschland." (Autorenreferat, IAB-Doku)
