Abstract

本稿は,写真プリントのビジネス・システムが自己革新によって写真のデジタル化に対応できた論理について,企業家の役割とその内部伝播メカニズムについて検討する。分析によって抽出するのは,①写真のデジタル化の脅威をいち早く察知したキタムラが全店にデジタル・ミニラボを導入して「お店プリント」のビジネスを積極的に展開したことで,②キタムラと直接的に競合するラボによる追従行動をもたらし,③このような先進的ラボ同士の競争の結果として,デジタル・ミニラボが写真のデジタル化に対するラボ業界全体の「標準的な解」として位置付けられるようになる。「標準的な解」が形成されたことによって,④街場のラボにまでデジタル化の問題が強く認識され,危機意識が浸透して,デジタル・ミニラボが普及した,という論理である。
