技術革新研究における環境適応観と淘汰観, Two different perspectives in innovation research

Abstract

本稿は,既存の主要なイノベーション研究が暗黙のうちに立脚している視座を指摘し,それによって研究の発展の方向性が受けてきた影響を論じる.技術革新と競争構造の変化の関連性を論じた多くの研究は,初期の段階では,環境適応的視座に基づいていたものの,次第に環境淘汰的な視座に立脚するようになった.そのために,いかにして既存企業が急激な技術革新に適応すべきかという知見が十分に蓄積されてきていない可能性がある., This article discusses the shift of perspective of innovation research. The research which explore relationship between innovation and structural change of the competition in an industry have shifted their perspective from environmental adaptation perspective to environmental selection one. This silent shifting could restrict the direction of development of such innovation research.
