Abstract

Ce chapitre approfondit l'analyse des procédures de sélection mises en œuvre par les entreprises, à partir de l'enquête originale Ofer. La légitimité de la sélection y est discutée sans se cantonner à la question de la discrimination. Elle intègre la façon dont sont spécifiées les épreuves aussi bien que la pertinence du choix des méthodes d'évaluation des compétences. Les résultats de l'enquête conduisent à repérer quatre formes de jugement privilégiées par les entreprises et à mettre en évidence leur capacité différente à valoriser les qualités des candidats. Cette pluralité montre bien que la compétence est relativement indéterminée, ce qui ouvre à la critique possible des évaluations.
