Abstract

La Gestion Prévisionnelle des Emplois et des Compétences (GPEC) devrait permettre de concilier la logique d'adaptation permanente des entreprises et la préservation des emplois. Sa mise en oeuvre suppose une série de fluidités, notamment des transitions professionnelles, permettant d'organiser les mutations d'emplois en déclin vers des emplois plus porteurs. Qu'en est-il dans les faits ? A partir de l'étude de la mise en oeuvre d'un accord GPEC, obligation légale en France pour les grandes entreprises, nous relevons des aspérités dans les mutations des emplois, loin de la fluidité supposée des organisations comme des identités. Nous pointons également les limites d'une démarche pensée davantage en termes d'instruments qu'en logiques socioculturelles.
