Abstract

La gestión de riesgos considera la seguridad como un valor principal que permite minimizar la ocurrencia de lesiones personales, disminuir las pérdidas de tiempos, reducir las pérdidas económicas, evitar conflictos sociales e incrementar la productividad y competitividad. Se analiza y evalúa el impacto de la cultura de seguridad, así como las características de los trabajadores en la accidentabilidad de la unidad minera subterránea Uchucchacua. Se ha revisado y analizado la data estadística de la accidentabilidad de la unidad minera correspondiente al período 2008 al 2018. Para reconstruir los rasgos de la cultura de seguridad del año 2008, se realizaron entrevistas a representantes de la alta gerencia Lima y al trabajador más antiguo de la unidad minera. Para conocer los rasgos de la cultura de seguridad y las características del trabajador del año 2018, se realizaron entrevistas al gerente de unidad y superintendentes de las principales áreas y encuestas a una muestra de trabajadores y supervisores. Para conocer el peso relativo de la cultura de seguridad y las características del trabajador, se realizó una encuesta a un grupo de expertos en seguridad del sector minero.
