Abstract

This paper presents a lecture given by Anne Krueger. Since the mid 1997 the news has been full of Asian financial cirses, attacks on currencies, drops in exchange rates, insolvencies of financial insitutions and IMF actions. The story has been different in each country, which is the the theme the author will return too.
