Transport and Communications Output and Productivity in Brazil and the USA, 1950-90

Abstract

This paper analyses levels and growth of output and productivit in transport and communications in Brazil and the United States over the years 1950 to 1990. The analysis is similar to that of Mulder (1994b), which adopts a similar approach to compare the situation of Mexico and the United States for the same period.
