L'utilisation commerciale de l'avion et le développement de l'industrie du transport aérien de passagers ont permis une amélioration constante des conditions de vie ainsi que le développement des affaires. Afin de permettre une meilleure connaissance de la problématique du transport aérien de passagers, ce cahier de recherche présente sommairement l'évolution de l'industrie depuis le vol du premier jet commercial à nos jours, en faisant une projection du trafic jusqu'en 2011.
