Abstract

Un article prŽcŽdent Žtudiait la distinction sŽmantique de l'analytique et du synthŽtique et l'appliquait ˆ la micro-Žconomie; celui-ci confronte les propositions micro-Žconomiques fondamentales ˆ la distinction ŽpistŽmologique de l'a priori et de l'a posteriori (ou de l'empirique), tout en s'efforant de systŽmatiser les quatre concepts. Aprs avoir repris la dŽfinition kantienne de l'a priori et le problme cŽlbre du synthŽtique a priori, on met en place deux grandes interprŽtations des propositions fondamentales, l'empirisme (illustrŽ par l'Žcole classique anglaise) et l'apriorisme (illustrŽ par Von Mises au sein de l'Žcole nŽo-classique autrichienne). On rŽcuse les deux interprŽtations - la seconde avec plus de dŽtail que la premire. On conclut que les propositions fondamentales sont synthŽtiques, mais ni a priori, ni a posteriori ; cette catŽgorie Žchappe aux dŽcoupages ordinaires. On dŽfend l'interprŽtation nouvelle en Žtudiant la loi des rendements dŽcroissants et l'hypothse de convexitŽ des ensembles de production.
