Diagnóstico de la situación de la educación técnica y tecnológica en Colombia y el Pacífico colombiano

Abstract

El objetivo de este documento de política, es realizar un diagnóstico de la educación T&T en Colombia y en el Pacífico colombiano, teniendo en cuenta la matrícula, la calidad, la deserción y su financiación. La pregunta específica que se intenta responder es: ¿Qué necesita la educación T&T para lograr la inclusión y movilidad social de los jóvenes, y sobre todo de los jóvenes afrocolombianos en el Pacífico? El documento se divide en tres partes. La primera, presenta la caracterización de la oferta y la demanda educativa de programas T&T en Colombia y la región Pacífico. Para la caracterización se tienen en cuenta tendencias de matrícula en el tiempo, deserción y calidad de la educación T&T. En la segunda parte se caracteriza la financiación de la educación superior en el país. La tercera parte del capítulo comprende tanto conclusiones como implicaciones.
