Abstract

El empleo es uno de los mayores retos de la autoridad económica. A pesar de una aparente disminución en la tasa de desempleo reciente, su nivel es aún alto. Esta sección de indicadores aborda el problema del mercado laboral alrededor de cuatro aspectos fundamentales. En primer lugar se examina la dinámica de desempleo. La conclusión general es que el desempleo ha disminuido para prácticamente todos los grupos de individuos y en la mayoría de las ciudades. En segundo lugar se analiza la tasa de participación, con énfasis en la diferenciación por genero. Diversos estudios han enfatizado los efectos de la creciente oferta laboral femenina. De he- cho, los datos muestran una participación masculina constante, y una femenina creciente, lo cual implica un mayor reto para la creación de nuevos puestos.
