Filosofía de las ciencias para economistas

Abstract

El propósito de este ensayo es defender la importancia de la matemática y la filosofía de la ciencia y el análisis económico. Se sustenta en la función de tres áreas de conocimiento en la economía: la semiología, ante el lenguaje matemático y los signos o indicadores económicos; la epistemología, ante los modelos y paradigmas en la Historia de la economía y la forma como algunas teorias del conocimiento subyacen en el origen y en la conformacion del pensamiento y los modelos económicos. Concluye explicando por qué estas áreas son imprecindibles en las ciencias sociales y, especialmente, en la economía.
