Abstract

Dans ce rapport, la méthode de Diebold and Yilmaz (2014) est utilisée pour quantifier l’exposition du Québec et du Canada aux chocs étrangers. Plus de la moitié des chocs qui touchent le PIB canadien trouvent leur origine à l’étranger, en particulier aux États-Unis et au Royaume-Uni. Ces deux pays sont également une source importante de chocs affectant le cycle des affaires québécois, tout comme l’Ontario qui à lui seul explique 30% des chocs dans la province.
