Abstract

Este trabajo documenta los desarrollos que se realizaron en el Modelo Macroeconométrico de Estimación Trimestral para la economía uruguaya (MMET) en los últimos años. Entre ellos se debe resaltar la incorporación de cambios en las ecuaciones del modelo, nuevas ecuaciones, re-estimaciones con más información y la incorporación de variables que buscan una aproximación más ajustada a la teoría representada. Con estos desarrollos, el modelo se mantiene vigente por lo que resulta un instrumento útil para efectuar análisis, proyecciones y simulaciones de variables macroeconómicas en un marco coherente y que permite interpretar y trasmitir los resultados de manera relativamente sencilla.
